The operations are focused on quality and efficiency, using data and technology to measure results, improve performance and ultimately save the company money. Presently ConneXion is unable to breakdown the broad tasks within in shift to create time measurement standards to gauge improvement.
In order to continue to deliver exceptional services to its customers, ConneXion needed to understand how time was spent in each are of the operation. Notiphy began by targeting one shift, with the goal being to document the time spent by each associate on each task. ConneXion uses the Digital Task List application to measure the time spent picking orders, packing orders, building routes, and loading trucks. As associates start a task, they sign into the Notiphy (on a tablet) and select one of the predetermined job functions. As manager moves associates from one task to another, they sign into Notiphy, select a new task, and continue working. The information and data can be retrieved based on the job, worker, or dock. ConneXion will be able to measure performance by job function and by associate. This has led to better work force utilization and measured efficiency.
Notiphy’s platform is simple and easy-to-use. The data derived from Notiphy’s platform will improve ConneXion’s understanding of its business and allow for easy, timely measurement of core tasks. This platform is easily expandable and ConneXion intends to roll this out to the other four areas of its operation. ConneXion’ s use of Notiphy’s platform is indicative of how other customers are looking to initially use Notiphy – to solve pain points inside their current workflow, become familiar with the platform and then deploy it throughout the workflow.
